In September 2026, the Viktor Blinov sports and concert complex in Omsk, Russia, received a new name: G-Energy Arena — SKK imeni Viktora Blinova. The naming forms part of an expanded partnership between ice hockey club Avangard and G-Energy, the motor oil brand produced by Gazpromneft Lubricants.
A new name, a lasting heritage
The announcement was made on 4 September at Avangard’s presentation ahead of the season. Viktor Blinov’s name remains in the complex’s full title, preserving its connection with Omsk’s hockey history. G-Energy gains a place in a venue familiar to several generations of fans.
A home for Omskie Krylia
According to the club’s official announcement, the renovated complex was prepared as the home of Omskie Krylia. Improvements include changing rooms, a gym and medical facilities to support the team throughout the year. G-Energy Arena is a separate venue from G-Drive Arena, where Avangard plays its home matches.
A sporting spirit that crosses borders
